July 1: NOT UPDATED Summer Camp Activity Sign-up Server is down. Here is Guidance for signing up. Council says Scouts who selected Back to Back Aquatics MUST make a different choice -- they currently are not allowing back to back aquatics badges. Scoutmaster is appealing. Contingency plan -- you can try to sign up at camp on Sunday night -- but we can no longer confirm this will work. June 12: 2010 Jamboree Application is now available. This event celebrates 100 years of Scouting in America. It is a Council-organized activity -- but if enough of the Troop goes, we have enough numbers to have our own Troop together at Jamboree! Truly a once in lifetime event. Jamboree Website. June 9: Gettysburg Pictures June 9: A big THANK YOU to the adult leaders and their families who helped to make this trip possible: Dan Brady, Mike Cappel, Nathan Thiesing, Gary Hummel, Tom Mattice, and Wesley Young. A very special thanks to Marty Smith, our own personal Gettysburg Guide, for making this particularly memorable. And thanks to all the Troop 514 families for sharing their sons with us for this great adventure! Adult Quartermaster Rick Schmidt, you did a GREAT JOB -- "God Bless the Quartermaster!". May 19: Tips for Scouts/Parents on getting the Scout Handbook signed off -- a good read for Tenderfoot and Second Class Scouts. May 19: Not yet First Class -- check out DAN BEARD day camp. Guidance on selection for first year Scouts will be published soon. Scouts interested in Water Skiing (which tends to fill quickly) should e-mail the Scoutmaster asap.
